How to delete all screenshots on an iPhone at once
Option 1: the Screenshots album in Photos
Every screenshot an iPhone takes is grouped automatically, no setup needed.
- Open Photos, tap Albums, scroll down to Media Types and tap Screenshots.
- Tap Select, then tap Select All in the corner.
- Tap the trash button, then confirm Delete.
This clears the whole album in a few taps.
What it misses: it is all or nothing. If a few screenshots are worth keeping, a boarding pass, a receipt, a code someone sent you, the only way to spare them is to unselect each one by hand in a long grid before deleting the rest. The album also keeps growing between cleanups, since every new screenshot lands in it the moment it is taken.
Option 2: a guided sweep in Poof
Poof Pro shows every screenshot in one grid and selects the ones older than 30 days for you, so you only tap the few worth keeping.
- Open Poof and allow access to your photos. The review runs on the device; photos are never uploaded.
- On the Clean up tab, tap Screenshots. Blurry shots and screenshots share one screen; pick Screenshots at the top.
- Screenshots older than 30 days come selected. Tap any you want to keep to unselect it, or open one full screen to look first.
- Tap Poof them. iOS shows its own confirmation dialog before anything is removed.
Nothing leaves without that final approval, and photos in Favourites are never preselected for deletion. It takes a minute longer than a single Select All, but the boarding pass and the receipt stay.
Screenshots worth keeping
Poof also sorts the library on the device into groups like documents and receipts, so a screenshot of a boarding pass or an ID is easier to spot before a bulk delete rather than after. Anything you want to keep private, rather than delete, can be locked into Poof Pro's Face ID vault. Deleting the app deletes the vault with it, so restore anything in it to your library first.
Get the space back today
Whichever way you delete screenshots, they move to Recently Deleted, where iOS keeps them for 30 days in case you change your mind. They still count against your storage during that time. To get the space back immediately, open Photos, scroll to Utilities, open Recently Deleted and tap Delete All.
